By installing or using PayProof ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Service

PayProof is a Shopify app that allows merchants to accept manual payments (Instapay and others) by enabling customers to upload payment confirmation screenshots. Merchants can then review and confirm or reject these payments from within the app.

2. Eligibility

You must have an active Shopify store and agree to Shopify's Terms of Service to use this app. By using the App, you represent that you have the authority to bind your business to these terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Shopify's policies.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code.
• Use the App to process fraudulent transactions or engage in deceptive practices.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or servers.

4. Merchant Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for verifying payment authenticity before confirming orders. PayProof provides tooling only — we do not verify that uploaded payment screenshots represent genuine transactions. You bear all risk related to accepting or rejecting payments.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consents from your customers to process their data through the App.

6. Availability and Modifications

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or suitable for your specific use case.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.

9. Termination

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App for violations of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
